Aventura Private Wealth Hosts Second Annual Canvas & Capital Event

On December 10th, Aventura Private Wealth held its second annual Canvas & Capital event at The Porto Vita Villa Grande Club in Aventura, bringing together contemporary art and financial strategy in an evening that reflected our commitment to thoughtful wealth management.
Fresh off Miami's Art Basel week, the event featured masterpieces from Opera Gallery, including works by Jean Michel Basquiat, Dasha's "Lucky," Sung-Hee Cho, and sculptures by ROD of the ORI Gallery. Artist Bari Lynn Friedlander completed a live painting during the evening, creating a unique work that captured the intersection of artistic expression and financial planning. The French Horn Collective, a local Miami ensemble, provided live music throughout the event.
Why art and wealth management? Shmuel Maya, Founder of Aventura Private Wealth, addressed guests about art as an alternative asset class, discussing how incorporating art into investment strategies can provide diversification beyond traditional holdings. While art investments carry unique risks including illiquidity and subjective valuation, they represent one approach to portfolio diversification that some high-net-worth families consider.
Our broader commitment: Events like Canvas & Capital reflect Aventura's approach to working with families and business owners who appreciate the cultural dimensions of wealth. We believe wealth management extends beyond portfolio statements to include the values, interests, and legacy considerations that define each family's financial journey.
The evening brought together clients, partners, and community members who share an appreciation for both financial strategy and cultural engagement. These gatherings help us better understand the complete picture of what matters to the families we serve.
